Christantus Uche Fuels Dominant Crystal Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.
A Shelbourne side that had finished their league season were no match against a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The Londoners were already depleted by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

The home side were hanging on desperately. Full-back Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to avoid a booking for two robust challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the woodwork with a header from a corner.
Pino Seals the Game
The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
