Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.
The adventure concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features
Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Third Free Story Addition
This update also brings the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma."
